Albus variety differs phenotypically from traditional purple Silybum marianum varieties by its white flower color. The plant is characterized by rapid seed maturation.
The primary purpose of the variety is the use of raw materials by pharmaceutical companies for obtaining extracts used in the treatment of liver diseases. The variety is distinguished by a high content of silymarin complex in the seeds.
