The origin of the variety is contradictory: some sources describe it as an F1 hybrid developed by Petoseed Co., while others describe it as an heirloom variety from the 19th century. The plant is characterized as mid-early, reaching maturity in 100–110 days, with a plant height ranging from 90–100 cm to an indeterminate type.

The fruits have a conical shape, pink skin, and fleshy pulp. If the irrigation regime is not followed, the fruits are prone to cracking. Hybrid forms may possess resistance to tobacco mosaic virus, Verticillium wilt, and Fusarium wilt. The variety is intended for fresh consumption, as well as for making juices and sauces.
