The variety is indeterminate, with vigorous tall plants reaching 1.8 m in height. The fruits have an oval, plum-like, or slightly pear-shaped form; their weight is 50–100 g and length is 6–7 cm. The fruits are predominantly bright red; a rare yellow variety is also encountered.

The flesh of the fruits is dense and meaty, with a low juice content, which makes the variety suitable for whole-fruit canning, making sauces, paste, and drying. The plants have dense foliage, which provides protection for the fruits against sunscald.
