The Riviera Cuor di Bue variety type represents an improved form of the Italian oxheart type tomato. It is an indeterminate plant with pear-shaped or heart-shaped fruits weighing 100–250 g. The fruits are distinguished by dense flesh with a small number of seeds; the ripening period is from 75 to 130 days.
The Riviera Rose form is also encountered, characterized as a tall plant with a medium ripening period. The fruits of this form are pink in color, have an oval-rounded shape with a small tip, and weigh 70–90 g.
