This variety is not a tomato variety for fruit production, but is used professionally as a rootstock for grafting. It provides high growth vigor and the development of a powerful root system, which contributes to obtaining heavier fruits and increases the adaptability of plants to various substrates.

The rootstock possesses high resistance to corky root rot, tomato mosaic virus, Fusarium wilt, and Verticillium wilt. It also has intermediate resistance to some species of root-knot nematodes. In breeding, interspecific hybrids involving Solanum habrochaites are used.
