The variety is the result of breeding using mutant slow-ripening genes (rin — ripening inhibitor) and breeding polygenes responsible for fruit firmness. This allowed for the development of one of the world's first commercially successful tomatoes with an increased post-harvest shelf life.

The plant is of the indeterminate type and is intended for cultivation in greenhouses. The red fruits are characterized by the ability to maintain freshness and firmness for up to 2–3 weeks, and their weight can reach 250 grams.
