The cultivar type is represented by a multitude of varieties, differing in fruit color, from red to black, and growth type. Plants are most often indeterminate, reaching a height of 1.5–2 meters, although semi-determinate forms also exist. Fruits weighing from 10 to 40 g have an elongated shape resembling a date or a plum.
The plant's trusses are compound, multiflowered, containing from 10 to 30 fruits. The tomatoes are distinguished by a high concentration of sugars, reaching 12–14 degrees on the Brix scale, and an intense aroma. The fruits are characterized by good keeping quality and transportability due to their firm skin and juicy flesh with a small number of seeds.
The cultivar type is considered versatile in use. When fresh, the fruits are consumed as a dessert or appetizer due to low acidity. In cooking, they are widely used for preparing sauces, sun-drying, and whole canning in their own juice.
