The Piel de Doncella type represents a gourmet product characterized by very delicate skin, due to which the fruits tolerate transport poorly and are intended primarily for the local market. The tomato pulp is fleshy, the taste is sweet with low acidity.

In official European vegetable variety registers, the name Doncella appears in the lists, however, data indicate that the registration of this name has been excluded.
