The variety "Evan’s Purple Pear" is a mid-season, indeterminate plant. In greenhouses, the plant height reaches 180 cm, and in the open field 150 cm. The variety has characteristic potato-type leaves and requires staking and suckering, with formation in two to three stems recommended.
The fruits have a pear shape, sometimes with ribbing, and a purple-pink or purple-black color. The weight of the fruits is from 80 to 150 g. The tomatoes are gathered in simple clusters of 8–12 pieces and are characterized by a sweet taste with a slight acidity, which makes them suitable for fresh consumption and canning.
