The variety is early to mid-early with a vegetation period of 65–70 days. Plants have a determinate growth type, reaching a height of about 60 cm, although they can grow taller under certain growing conditions. The variety is adapted to the climatic conditions of the coastal areas of Puglia.

Fruits weighing 25–60 g have a plum-like shape with a characteristic nipple. The skin is firm, the flesh is meaty, possessing a sweet taste with a slight acidity. The tomatoes are resistant to cracking, but can be susceptible to Phytophthora infestans.

The main purpose of the variety is the preparation of tomato sauce (passata). The fruits are suitable for drying, canning, and fresh consumption. A unique feature is the possibility of long-term storage of whole plants with fruits hanging in a cool place.
