The Fortunato F1 hybrid is characterized by an open and compact plant type with indeterminate growth. The elongated fruits form in clusters of 16–18, feature an attractive appearance, and have the ability to maintain the green color of the sepals for a long time after harvest.

The plant possesses high resistance to leaf mold (races A–E), tomato mosaic virus, tomato spotted wilt virus, Verticillium wilt, and Fusarium wilt. Intermediate resistance is noted for root-knot nematodes and tomato yellow leaf curl virus.
