The Frassino F1 hybrid is bred from the traditional Italian variety Principe Borghese. The plant is characterized by high yield and the formation of compact fruit clusters. The fruits have a classic teardrop shape with a small tip, a deep bright red color, a firm structure, and are resistant to cracking and rotting.
The sugar content in the fruits is 7.0–7.5 on the Brix scale. The hybrid has resistance to Verticillium wilt, Fusarium wilt, nematodes, bacterial spot, and tomato spotted wilt virus. Intended for fresh market sales and craft processing.
