The Góbé (GK Góbé) variety is an early-maturing tomato, which is often used in scientific research as a model object or control sample. The plant has a growth type implying a weak habit, which makes it suitable for mechanized harvesting.
The fruits of this variety have medium density and ripen in a concentrated manner. The variety possesses genetic resistance to Verticillium wilt and Fusarium wilt (race F2).
In Hungary, the name Góbé is also used as a commercial brand for food products unrelated to crop production. In the Hungarian state variety testing system, the variety is listed as removed from the register.
