The variety is a hybrid bred by INRA. The plant is characterized by an indeterminate growth type. Before ripening, the fruits are dark red with characteristic light green spots at the base, the intensity of which classifies the variety as having light coloration.
The plant possesses genetic resistance to Phytophthora infestans due to the presence of the Ph2 gene. Official international plant variety protection organizations use Juboline as a reference sample in comparative studies of morphological fruit characteristics.
