The variety belongs to the very late maturity group of tomatoes. The plant is characterized by short internodes. The fruits have a red color with a distinct green collar (shoulders) and low dry matter content at maturity.

The variety was used as a standard indicator sample for international trials of other tomato varieties. In 2006, it was removed from the official French catalogue of plant varieties.
