Marinda is not a hybrid bred by Nunhems B.V. and is not included in the official catalogs of this manufacturer. This name denotes a regional product traditionally cultivated in the area of Pachino in Sicily.

Tomatoes of this type are harvested from February to May, which is why they are called winter tomatoes. Specific characteristics, such as pronounced acidity, sweetness and firm fleshy pulp, are due to the local climate, the use of saline soils and irrigation with water with a high salt content.
