Midas is a variety, not a hybrid. In terms of growth habit, the plant is indeterminate and tall: in open field it reaches a height of 1.2–1.6 m, and in greenhouse conditions up to 2.0 m. Maturity periods are classified in different sources as early or mid-season.

The fruits have an elongated pepper-like shape, often with a "nose," and are orange or orange-honey in color. The weight of a single fruit varies from 60 to 100 grams. The flesh is described as sweet, meaty and juicy, with an increased carotene content.

The variety is intended for multipurpose use: fresh consumption, salad preparation, and whole-fruit canning.
