The Mirabell tomato is characterized as an indeterminate (tall) cocktail or cherry-type variety. The fruits have a mass of 15–30 g, a yellow or yellow-oval color, and a sweet taste. The ripening period from germination is 100–105 days.
Reliable information regarding the breeder or the exact origin of the variety is absent. A number of publications put forward versions about a French origin, however, documentary confirmation of the variety's link to the company Enza Zaden or other official developers has not been found.
