The variety is a local heirloom restored with the support of state institutions. It is not a product of targeted breeding, but was preserved through traditional farming methods.

There is no official agronomic description of the variety specifying particular morphological parameters, plant height, or disease resistance. Under experimental conditions, the variety shows sensitivity to environmental stress factors typical of old-fashioned varieties.

It is used primarily as a table variety. Its main value lies in the preservation of the original taste qualities and characteristics inherent to traditional tomatoes from Madrid vegetable gardens.
