The variety is intended for phytopathological trials and tests for distinctness, uniformity, and stability. It serves as a resistance standard when working with genetic material, including within the framework of UPOV and CPVO international protocols.

The plant possesses genetically determined resistance to a number of pathogens, including corky root rot (Pyrenochaeta lycopersici), verticillium wilt (Ve), and late blight (Phytophthora infestans), with the presence of the Ph-2 gene noted in the variety.
