Indeterminate variety with a plant height in a greenhouse from 1.2 to 1.6 m, in rare cases showing semi-determinate traits. The maturity period varies from mid-early to mid-season, being about 110 days from emergence.

The fruits have a flat-round, heavily ribbed shape and a rich red color. Fruit weight averages 80–100 g, reaching 150–200 g. The flesh texture is dense and juicy, with a large number of seed locules and a pronounced sweet-and-sour taste.

The plant is sensitive to drought and requires specific growing conditions characteristic of the Tuscany regions. The variety is traditionally used for making sauces, juices, canning, and fresh consumption, being an important element of local agrobiodiversity.
