The variety belongs to the mid-season or mid-early group. The plant is vigorous, of indeterminate type, reaching a height of 1.3–1.5 m in open field and 1.7–2 m in protected cultivation. Due to its tall growth and large fruit size, the variety requires mandatory suckering and staking to supports.

The fruits have a round or oblate shape, sometimes with slight ribbing, the average weight is 150–300 g with the potential to reach 500 g or more. The flesh is meaty and juicy, the taste is classic and balanced. The plant shows resistance to heat and most diseases, and the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and processing.

Since the variety is an heirloom, minor variations in fruit shades from red to pink and in ripening times may be observed in different growing regions.
