The variety is early or mid-early with a ripening period of 90–95 days. The plant is characterized by a super-determinate growth type, a very compact habit, and does not require staking.

The fruits are round, orange, and have a firm consistency. The sugar content is 7.0–10.0% on the Brix scale. The variety shows resistance to Fusarium wilt (race 1) and Stemphylium leaf spot.

The plants are suitable for cultivation in containers, on balconies, on windowsills, in the open field, and in plastic greenhouses with high-density planting. The origin of the variety is linked to the parent lines Florida Basket and Ohio 4013-3 or developments by the North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station.
