The hybrid is intended to increase the resistance of eggplants to soil-borne pathogens and improve their productivity in difficult conditions. It possesses complete resistance to Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. melongenae) and is effective against Verticillium wilt (Verticillium dahliae).

The use of Anafor positively influences plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, and the overall development of the scion, giving it a more upright habit. The rootstock contributes to an increase in marketable yield and average fruit weight, and in some cases, may affect pedicel length, maturity timing, and physiological parameters of the fruit flesh.
