The Russian hybrid Синегал F1 is an early or mid-season plant with a growing period of 120–130 days. The bush is semi-spreading, vigorous, well-foliated, with shortened internodes. The fruits are elongated pear-shaped, reaching sizes of 4.5–6.5 by 13–14 cm with a weight of 260–280 g. The color is dark purple, glossy, the calyx is green without spines. The flesh is dense, greenish-white. The hybrid is suitable for open field and protected cultivation, used in cooking and canning.

The Spanish hybrid Senegal F1 differs from the Russian one in growth characteristics and fruit shape. The plant has an upright habit. The fruits are cylindrical in shape and 25–30 cm long.
