Taurus F1 eggplant, bred by De Ruiter Seeds, is characterized by oval-shaped purple fruits with high size uniformity and good keeping quality. In production trials, this hybrid is used as a rootstock.

The Taurus variety from Paramount Seeds is open-pollinated. Its fruits have a teardrop shape and an average weight of 190 grams. The plant possesses resistance to blossom-end rot.
