The variety Tucana is characterized by vigorous growth and uniform plant development. The plant is not frost-hardy and is intended for the decorative embellishment of interiors, patios, and gardens during the autumn period.
When grown in 11 cm diameter pots, a planting density of 26–28 plants per square meter is recommended. The plant's fruits contain solanine and are poisonous, which requires placement in areas inaccessible to children and pets.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
