The Granatina variety tree reaches a height of 3–6 meters. The fruits have a rounded shape with small facets, their average weight is about 1.5 g. The variety ripens in August–September.
Fruiting begins in the 3rd year after planting, the yield reaches 90 fruits per cluster. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and the ability to adapt to various climatic conditions.
The fruits contain phenolic compounds, rutin and quercetin. They are used for making marmalades, jams, jellies, compotes, syrups, wines and liqueurs, and the tree is also used in landscape design.
