Big Dragoon is a hybrid of sweet sorghum and sudangrass. It belongs to the group of photoperiod-sensitive hybrids with a very late maturity group, which often fail to reach full flowering in northern latitudes.

The plant possesses good tillering capacity and high lodging resistance. Due to the presence of the BMR 6 (brown midrib) trait, reduced lignin content is ensured, which increases the digestibility and palatability of the forage for livestock.

Under favorable growing conditions, the variety is capable of reaching a height of over 4 meters and is characterized by broad leaves. For grain production, sowing together with other sorghum varieties is recommended to ensure pollination.
