The hybrid forms orange grain; the plant panicle has a semi-open shape. The vegetation period is approximately 115–120 days, which places the variety in the mid-late group.

The grain is characterized by a high starch content (about 79.2%), the absence of gluten, and a low tannin content. The hybrid demonstrates yield potential under drought conditions, which allows it to be used in regions requiring water conservation.

ES Boreas is a multi-purpose hybrid. It is suitable for the production of compound feeds for livestock and poultry, for use in the food industry for the production of flour and grits, and for the production of bioethanol.
