The variety is intended for the production of bioenergy feedstock, such as biogas and cellulosic biofuel. It is also used as a model object in studies of biomass, yield potential, and interaction with rhizobacteria.
It is characterized by high biomass yield potential. Under experimental conditions, the vegetation period varied from 110 to 140 days. The variety is suitable for soil phytoremediation from heavy metals, in particular cadmium, and was evaluated for lodging resistance during comparative trials.
