The Vincher variety is a technical crop cultivated for the production of panicles used in the manufacture of brooms and household goods. Agronomically, it should be distinguished from grain sorghum, as it is not intended for food or forage purposes.

Plants of this variety are characterized by uniform height, and the panicles ripen synchronously. These features contribute to the efficiency of mechanized harvesting.
