The variety was bred for the cool climate conditions of northern European regions above 51° N. Plants reach a height of over 2 meters. The grain has a brown color and increased tannin content; protein content varies from 9% to 14%.

The variety belongs to the 'A' starch type and demonstrates high peak starch viscosity. The grain is used in fodder production and the food industry, while the stalks are used as biomass for obtaining fiber, insulation materials, and biofuels.
