The DK and DKS series hybrids are breeding lines created to increase yield and adapt to environmental stress factors. The original DK 38 hybrid is known from historical publications as a variety with a fast maturity rate, while DKS 38-16 is its modern counterpart.

Plants of this series are characterized by resistance to lodging, as well as protection against a range of diseases and pests, including aphid infestation and leaf spots.
