The variety is one of the largest representatives of the genus, which earned it the status of a "giant Spathiphyllum." The height of an adult plant varies from 80 cm to 2 meters. The leaves are dark green, glossy, with a characteristic ribbed surface, reaching 50–60 cm in length. Inflorescences are standard for the species: a white spathe with a yellowish or white spadix.

The plant is intended for interior landscaping and is often used as a solitary plant. The variety is hardy, tolerates a lack of light well, but is sensitive to overwatering and drafts. There is a variegated form with white streaks on the leaf blades, which requires brighter light to maintain its variegation.
