ActiveSpinacia oleracea L. · Spinach
Monsanto Holland, NL
10 August 2026
The plant forms a compact upright rosette up to 25 cm high and up to 30 cm in diameter. The leaves are rich dark green, dense and fleshy, with a characteristic crinkled texture. The period from germination to harvest is 35–50 days.
The variety possesses good cold hardiness and high bolting resistance, which extends the harvesting period as temperatures rise. The upright growth habit of the leaves reduces the risk of contamination from soil contact. Some descriptions note resistance to downy mildew.
The plant is suitable for cultivation in open field, greenhouses, and containers. The leaves are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for various types of culinary processing.
