The mid-season spinach hybrid SV 2157 VB forms an upright rosette of leaves 13–18 cm high. The leaves are medium-sized, broad-ovate in shape, flat, heavily savoyed, dark green in color, with a short petiole. The weight of one plant is 28–30 g.

The variety possesses an average bolting rate and a yield of up to 3.0 kg/m². It is stable under summer conditions and suitable for cultivation in the period from spring to autumn. The hybrid is for universal use, suitable both for fresh market sales and for industrial processing.
