The Grandstand variety belongs to the category of commercial hybrids. In scientific literature, it has gained popularity as a model object for conducting agronomic trials, in particular, for studying the influence of soil tillage methods and insecticide application on yield and protection against pests, such as aphids.

For experimental purposes, the variety was often used to evaluate phytopathological resistance, including to Fusarium wilt and downy mildew. It is noted that the variety possesses good post-harvest storage indicators when grown under normal rainfall conditions.

Detailed morphological descriptions of the plant, including leaf shape and exact maturity group, are absent in open scientific publications. In the professional community, the variety is primarily considered as a control sample for comparison with new breeding lines.
