The hybrid Novico F1 belongs to fast-growing varieties intended primarily for industrial processing. Recommended for sowing in spring, autumn, and winter periods.

The plant possesses resistance to bolting in the spring period. It has high resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora effusa), including races Pe:1–12, 14–16, 19, 20.
