The PV 1028 variety belongs to the oriental type of spinach. The plant is characterized by an intensive development rate and forms very dark-colored leaves.

The variety possesses high resistance to spinach downy mildew (Peronospora farinosa f.sp. spinaciae), including races Pfs 1–12 and 14–16. Intended for professional cultivation.
