The Slavutych variety was bred within the framework of scientific programs for the introduction and acclimatization of Stevia in Ukraine. The plant is used as a source of a natural sugar substitute containing steviosides.

In studies of the tolerance of various Stevia genotypes to pathogens, the Slavutych variety showed high resistance to the fungal disease Alternaria alternata. Data on morphological traits and precise biochemical indicators of the variety are not publicly available.
