Variety description

The yellow form originated as a natural mutation of the classic red-brown variety. In terms of morphological characteristics, it is identical to the base species, with the exception of the cap coloration. The fruiting bodies are large, the cap diameter is 5–20 cm, and the stipe height is 7–20 cm.
The fungus is cultivated on substrates of straw, wood chips, or plant residues; maturation occurs from spring to autumn. The mycelium has the ability to suppress nematodes due to acanthocytes, and the fungus's ability to neutralize soil contaminants is also being studied.
