Evergreen ornamental shrub reaching a height of about 1.5 meters. The plant has glossy dark red foliage, which is most pronounced on young shoots. Flowering occurs in late spring when white flowers appear.
The plant is used for creating hedges and container cultivation on terraces; it is also suitable for topiary pruning. The variety is characterized by high disease resistance and drought tolerance. The winter hardiness temperature limit is -7…-8°C, therefore container cultivation is recommended in cool climates.
