The tree has a distinct spherical crown shape. After 10 years, the height of the plant is about 3–4 meters, although it can reach 10 meters at maturity. The leaves are deciduous, heart-shaped, green, with pubescence on the underside; they turn yellow in the autumn. Small fragrant flowers of a yellowish-white shade are gathered in inflorescences and bloom in June–July.
The variety is resistant to air pollution, wind, sun exposure, and partial shade. Frost resistance corresponds to zone 4A. The plant prefers fresh, moist, and nutritious deep soils with a neutral pH, but is capable of adapting to different soil types, including loams and sandy soils. It tolerates regular pruning well, which is necessary to maintain the crown shape.
It is used in the landscaping of parks, gardens, and avenues, and is also grown in containers and on terraces, often in the form of standard trees.
