Variety description

The plant is a climbing vine reaching a height of 2 to 9 meters with a spread of 2.5 to 6 meters. The foliage is dark green, glossy, and often acquires a bronze or reddish hue during the winter period. The variety is also known under the trade name Star of Toscane.
Flowering occurs in the summer period, usually from July to September. The flowers have a star shape and an intense fragrance reminiscent of vanilla or jasmine. The plant withstands temperature drops down to -10°C...-12°C and is resistant to diseases and pests.
The variety is used for decorating walls, pergolas, and arches, requiring a support. It can also be used as a container crop for terraces or as a groundcover plant provided regular pruning is performed.
