The variety was obtained as a sport of Tricyrtis formosana 'Gilt Edge'. The plant forms dense clumps with erect stems, reaching a height of about 60 cm and a width of about 45 cm. The leaves are oval and pointed in shape with a golden color, which is most intense in the spring period.
The flowers are orchid-like, star-shaped, and lavender-pink in color with dark speckles. Flowering occurs in late summer and autumn. The variety is suitable for cultivation in shaded and semi-shaded areas, preferring moist, humus-rich, well-drained soils. Recommended for USDA hardiness zones 5–9.
