The variety has hollow stems with a soft pith, trifoliate leaves, and white terminal inflorescences. The root system is powerful and deep-penetrating. The variety has the ability for intensive regrowth after mowing and, under irrigation, provides three to four cuts.

The plant is characterized by good disease resistance and cold tolerance. In European climatic conditions, the variety winterkills, which allows it to be used as an intermediate green manure crop for nitrogen fixation and preventing its leaching from the soil.

The variety was obtained by combining Mediterranean and Egyptian germplasm. It is intended for obtaining high-quality green fodder, livestock grazing, as well as for cultivation in pure stands or in mixtures, particularly with annual ryegrasses.
