The variety is used as a forage crop. Its ability for phytoremediation, i.e., cleaning soils contaminated with heavy metals, and its role in increasing soil fertility have also been studied.
The plant exhibits resistance to certain fungal leaf diseases, including powdery mildew and common leaf spot, and is also considered in the context of studying resistance to Sclerotinia. In the above-ground parts of the plants, the total concentration of isoflavones is less than 2.00 mg/g.
