Kamaniai variety plants reach a height of 80 to 130 cm and have about 8–9 internodes. The leafiness of the plants is about 41.5%.

The variety is a forage crop intended for creating clover-grass mixtures, as well as hay and haylage harvesting. Under modern conditions, it is characterized by moderate green mass productivity and limited persistence in the sward compared to new breeding lines.

In scientific literature, the variety is often used as a reference point when studying clover resistance to diseases such as clover rot (Sclerotinia trifoliorum) and anthracnose.
