The variety is a winter triticale. It has been studied in the context of forage production, specifically for preparing whole-crop silage, and is also used as source material in breeding to create lines with improved baking characteristics via chromosome translocations.
In physiological studies, the variety was classified as drought-tolerant, although in several works studying biochemical parameters, it demonstrated a stress response similar to control samples. The variety also underwent testing for resistance to soil-borne viral diseases.
